The organisation is dedicated to bringing the best horsemanship ideas together from around the world to promote understanding and fair treatment of horses through courses, demonstrations and educational materials. The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) is the national governing body for horse sports in the UK, affiliated to the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI), the international governing body of equestrian sports.

British Eventing is the national governing body (NGB) for Eventing in Great Britain and regulates the sport as well as organising and scheduling many events throughout the country.

British Dressage is the governing body for the sport of dressage in the UK.

The BSJA is the governing body of show jumping in Great Britain, formulating the rules and codes of practice under which all affiliated competitions are held.

The British Grooms Association has been created to provide a national organisation for grooms of all disciplines. It is the only association of its kind in the world, and it aims to bring together those who work in this sector of the equine industry and give all members a sense of belonging.

Redwings Horse Sanctuary was established in 1984 and today has grown to be the largest horse charity in the UK, working to save horses, ponies, donkeys and mules whose future would otherwise be bleak.
