  • The 'No Knickers' team will use distraction as its main tactic!

Laura B's top dressage horse Alf rests up before he heads to the Dortmund show!I woke up on Sunday at 7am on the sofa still fully clothed! I rang Mark to apologise for not having spoken to him the night before but he informed me that I had! Oh dear... I remember going to the pub for dinner and I remember going to a friend's for drinks and I remember having lots of fun catching up with lots of friends and planning a polo team called 'No Knickers', whose tactics would be 'distraction'! There was wine and then vodka.

However I don't remember the taxi home or any of the rest of it which is really quite scary! My brothers and Brini were with me though so I was well looked after. Brini kindly took pictures of me after I had fallen down the stairs at home, had my head in the fridge and then snuggled up on the sofa. Oops, I hate it when my alter ego takes over (she is called Elke), there really is no excuse!! I think because I am no longer a student and don't drink very often, I clearly can't take much alcohol and probably should refrain from it entirely! I had to get straight up and ride four horses because I had been eventing the day before and the horses had had the day off. It wasn't pretty but when I finished, Felix, my eldest brother, had made an amazing Mother's Day Sunday roast and that sorted me out. Handy, as I need to get focused for competing with Alf and Andy at Dortmund show later this week!

Laura, never mix the grape and the grain! That has stood me in good stead for quite a few years!

Everyone says that though Laura, "never again" then sure enough in a few months you say yes when you meant no to more drinks and it all happens again!!

Haha, thanks Diana, great advice! Hoping there won't be a next time or at least not for a very long time!! Ribbons I don't think I do have a Dimaggio unless its still an unbacked one...!

Hi Laura, I hope you don't mind me asking but I'd heard you have a Dimaggio youngster? I'd be interested in hearing more about them if you do. My mare is expecting a Dimaggio foal next month.

Hanging! I am glad I am not the only one who looks for a "cold place" to put my head if I am drunk! Marble tiles are also a good bet!
