About this video

Paris is an eventing pony who was bought from the sales a year ago, with a few issues. Four star event rider Louise Skelton sets up a 5 jump serpentine consisting of oxers and uprights, in her 40 metre arena, to sharpen up both horse and rider! The aim is to jump each fence straight, land on the correct lead and make enough room for the turn to maintain a constant rhythm to the fence. Easier said than done! Louise explains it needs quick thinking on both their parts and the confidence to ride forwards and not get too cautious. She gradually builds up the exercise, which highlights Paris' weaker side and makes Louise get her bottom back in the saddle!

hhhorse 24 Dec 2009 They both looked as though they were thoroughly enjoying themselves which is good to see. I don't jump my mare any longer because she has previously torn her deep flexor tendon but I still got a lot out of watching Louise.Thank you!
Phelpsie's Boys 24 Dec 2009 Ace exercise thank you!
