Is Sprenger worth the money?
Quite difficult to respond to this Q, in general most peeps are happy with the bit they have, if not then the Q is, what do they want or need.

Boots, boots and more boots!
My background is in national hunt racing, ie jump racing: in any racing yard, all the front legs are checked daily before exercise and later, in the afternoon, this is a major responsibility, and it is usually the Head Lad who does this, it takes experience to know whether to step up the work, carry on with the work, to take it easy, or to lay off for a while.

Dressage saddle for youngster
Hi Kateangel Rather than deciding on the saddle you are going to buy now, I strongly recommend that, when you are ready to purchase, you get an experienced saddle fitter who stocks a range of saddles to visit and then chose the one that fits your mare (and you) best.

How to measure a horse for a saddle
I agree that it is important for the rider to feel comfortable in the saddle if they are to ride effectively, but remember that the rider only sits on the saddle – the horse has to wear it.

Bitting advice please
Hi there, Bits and the fitting of bridles and any accessories can now be given the same care and attention that we give to saddles, as our knowledge of the mouth and how it links to the rest of the horse's body has increased.

Ear plugs
I must admit I have never used 'proper' earplugs, just cotton wool (tampons are very useful in ponies and have a convenient cord for removal).

I am with everone on the use of draw reins, but bungee is great for horses that have issues with contact.
