Horse Hero is a video website that shows you how top professionals look after their horses at home and during competition. We get a rare glimpse into their lives, meet many of our ‘horse heroes’ and do some fascinating yard tours. Our presenters include Laura Bechtolsheimer, Harry Meade and Louisa Brassey. The site is free!

You can take the learning right into the stable by downloading 'how to' videos onto your laptop, mobile or handhelds. Horse Hero also has a wealth of biogs and fascinating blogs from equestrian personalities, with photos and words of wisdom. Some have video diaries too. Enjoy!

The Bechtolsheimer yard tour

This is the yard that has produced Olympic dressage rider Laura Bechtolsheimer. It must be one of the most breath-taking modern yards in the world, designed for maximum horse luxury and human convenience. Dr B shows us round. Dream on!!

Horse Hero News & Comment

We filmed on two days this week. Firstly, we made a hunting video with event rider, Louisa Brassey on a typically cold and wet winter's day. Looking pristine beforehand, she and her horse deteriorated into mud replicas of themselves by the end of the day! We also made some first aid videos at Willesley Equine Clinic which will be essential viewing. (All are coming soon!) Next week we are visiting young event rider and European double gold medallist, Emily Llewellyn to film her training. She has also volunteered to be a guinea-pig for a video on 'how to' (or 'how not to'?) reverse a trailer!

New video diary entries from Louisa Brassey on her winter career, Alex Franklin at the final of the World Mounted Games Champs' and Horse Hero's Fiona Price and Lucy Graham, hard at work in the 'edit suite'! Lots of new blog entries too but this extract from Sarah Fisher's diary is priceless! Four reasons why some woman think horses are better than men a) horses look good in leather; b) horses smell great when they sweat; c) your horse won’t throw a hissy fit if you go out with another horse and d) if the relationship breaks down the law is on your side if you decide to have him shot!!!!
